Supports established researchers and teams pursuing research that advances understanding of human life, health and wellbeing. Applicants can work in any discipline and request a programme lasting up to eight years.

Funding amount

Budget justified by the programme; GBP 3.5 million average award

Eligibility

For established research leaders applying individually or with a team. The administering organisation must be a not-for-profit in the UK, Republic of Ireland or an eligible low- or middle-income country, excluding India and mainland China.
