Supports early-career researchers developing an independent research identity through a project relevant to human life, health and wellbeing. Awards usually last five years.

Funding amount

Salary plus up to GBP 400000 for research expenses

Eligibility

For early-career researchers ready to design and deliver their own project. Co-applicants are not accepted. The administering organisation must be a not-for-profit in the UK, Republic of Ireland or an eligible low- or middle-income country, excluding India and mainland China.
